At the border between the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and the Hautes-Alpes, the Parpaillon tunnel connects the Ubaye Valley to Embrun.
This is a very classic road pass in the Alps and has been used in earlier days in the Tour de France (I believe the road was in a much better state back then).

Jul 25, 2017 · This is one of the great gravel cycling climbs in France. Formerly the highest road in France, both sides are huge, beautiful, and quiet.
