Paul Konrad

Paul Konrad is a nine-time Emmy Award-winning television weather anchor for Chicago’s top-rated WGN Morning News.

He started at WGN-TV in 1996 after working in newsrooms in Tampa Bay, Montgomery, Alabama and Chicagoland Television News (CLTV). He currently anchors the 6-10 am segment of WGN Morning News.

Paul hosts a semi-weekly segment called “Courtesy Desk” where he takes viewer suggestions and ideas and passes them along to his on—air colleagues for approval, and occasionally, disapproval. Konrad, who is a father of four, also takes pride in hosting the weekly “Friday Forecaster” segment which features an elementary school-aged child forecasting the weather on live TV every Friday on WGN Morning News.

Konrad is a graduate of DePaul University and holds his Master’s Degree from Northwestern University. He studied meteorology at Mississippi State University.
