I had wanted to see a movie location of Amelie in Montmartre. This is an apartment building where Amelie had lived, and the first floor is variety and vegetables store. In the movie, main character, Amelie had been worth her living to find other people's happiness. One day, she played a little trick on the storekeeper because he was often bullying his weak staff. She sometimes witnessed the bullying when she went out her room at second floor and went through the store at first floor with pretending she didn't see it.

Around this building, there are a famous street, Rue des Trois Freres. Certainly, owning to the movie, Amelie, it becomes a famous spot.

Went in here with my partner. We bought 2 bananas, 2 peaches and 1 can of coke which came up as 5 euros on the till, we then realised we didn't have cash so asked to pay by card. As soon as we paid using contactless we realised immediately that we'd been charged 15 euros! When I quizzed the young man at the cashier about this he became very rude and swore at us! Not speaking much French and the cashier no English we just left. Happened at around 3pm on 05/08/23 if the owner reads this.

Cute little store where Amelie was filmed! They offer a range of jams, cookies, pasta, and chocolates. Prices are on the higher end, though.

Really only come here if Monop, Dia or Carrefour are closed. Obviously everything is more expensive than the grocery store and it's mainly for tourists who have never seen a bodega in a movie (Amelie) before. The guys who run it are never friendly and you're much better off walking a bit down past Ravignon and Durantin to the cornershop there. The men who run that shop are so much nicer. I'm American but I'm not a tourist so I don't appreciate being treated like one, especially when I live across the street from you and you see me everyday. It doesn't make me want to pay twice as more for your products just because it's Sunday and everything else is closed.
